Achunike's father, Godfrey Okafor, expressed immense pride in his son's triumphs, emphasizing the significance of education within their household. "We place great importance on education in our family. It empowers young individuals to forge their own paths, support their loved ones, and shape their own destinies," shared Godfrey Okafor, himself a distinguished high school mathematics teacher.

The Okafor family takes immense pride in their children's educational pursuits, with two older sons and three daughters currently studying computer engineering, pharmacology, nursing, and law.

Beyond his academic achievements, Achunike has exhibited exceptional leadership skills and a passion for extracurricular activities. He co-founded the Science Club at his school, served as vice president of the Junior Student Council and the Stand & Deliver Club, presided over the Future Educators Club and the Black Student Union, assumed the role of co-captain for the robotics team, and diligently fulfilled the position of treasurer for the Environmental Club.
